Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in education
2. ODE Resident Educator License or Permanent Teaching License for Middle Childhood
3. Ability to work with diverse groups
4. Demonstrated knowledge of math and/or science subject areas
5. Strong communication skills both written and verbal

Position Description:

The Middle School Math/Science teacher will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

1. Deliver instruction in a manner that allows students to remain on task by utilizing a variety of instructional techniques.
2. Demonstrate appropriate academic planning and organization.
3. Design and employ a variety of objective and consistent assessment techniques to evaluate learning and development.
4. Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of instruction.
5. Establish and maintain effective classroom control.
6. Reinforce appropriate social and academic interventions using constructive methods.
7. Maintain professional interactions with other educational personnel, parents, and the community.
