Job Summary : Al-Salam Day School located in St. Louis, Missouri is looking for dedicated and certified teachers to fill multiple positions and fulfill the mission of the school. Positions open are:
1. Elementary Grade Level Teachers
2. Secondary Subject Teachers
3. Qur’an and Deen Teachers
4. Specials Teachers

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : 

• Support of school mission and culture

• Timely attendance

• Positive Team Player

• Developing lesson plans and curriculum

• Collaborate with other staff to develop lesson plans, teaching strategies and interventions.

• Prepare students for formal and informal assessments

• Grading tests, quizzes and assignments in a timely manner

• Communicate effectively and regularly with parents and students regarding performance

• Aware of current events and incorporate them into lessons to make them more relevant

• Ensure all grade level requirements are met

• Assessing students’ needs and providing support or extra resources to struggling students as well as exceptional achievers

• Expanding teachers networks and participating in workshops, lectures and other learning opportunities.

Requirements : 

• Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline

• Master’s Degree preferred

• Relevant certification

• Ability to multitask in high stress environments
