JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Science Teacher to join our team of qualified educators. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to high school students. This role involves preparing and implementing comprehensive lesson plans, fostering a positive classroom environment, and guiding students towards academic success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Deliver Engaging Lessons: Present lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in a comprehensive manner using diverse teaching methods to facilitate understanding and retention.
  2. Individualized Instruction: Provide personalized support to students to enhance their understanding of complex scientific concepts and promote interactive learning.
  3. Educational Content Creation: Develop and distribute educational materials such as notes, summaries, and assignments tailored to each subject.
  4. Student Assessment: Monitor and record student progress in each subject area, providing constructive feedback and grades.
  5. Classroom Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning in each science discipline.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with fellow teachers, parents, and other stakeholders, and participate in regular meetings to discuss student progress and school initiatives.
  7. Activity Planning: Plan and conduct both in-class and laboratory-based experiments and activities to enrich the learning experience.
  8. Student Welfare: Observe student behavior, identifying any signs of concern, and report them to the appropriate personnel.
  9. Professional Development: Continuously enhance professional skills and knowledge in science education by attending seminars, workshops, and conferences.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  2. Certification: Certified teacher with experience teaching high school science subjects. However, candidates with a strong background in education and a commitment to obtaining certification are encouraged to apply. Peace Academy will assist in the certification process.
  3. Experience: Proven experience as a high school science teacher with a track record of effective teaching practices.
  4. Educational Knowledge: Thorough understanding of teaching best practices and educational guidelines, with a commitment to following school policies and procedures.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  6. Organization: Well-organized, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality education.
  7. Creativity and Energy: Creative, energetic, and able to make learning science an engaging and dynamic experience.
  8. Values and Discipline: Strong moral values and discipline, serving as a role model for students.
  9. Additional Skills: Knowledge of CPR is a plus.
