Teaching positions at the Middle School Level

Dayton Islamic School is looking for full time teachers in English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies for its growing number of middle school students. We are looing for candidates who have mastery of these different subjects and are passionate about teaching. We have a very diverse group of teachers and administrators who cater to a large vibrant Muslim community.

Teachers responsibilities include:

1. Planning, preparation and delivery of instructional materials to help facilitate active learning experiences.
2. Develop lesson plans aligned with the Ohio State Department of Education standards and objectives.
3. Assess, record, and report the progress and development of each students.
4. Possess strong classroom management skills
5. Excellent communication skills
6. Participate in department, school and parents meetings.
7. Establish excellent communication with parents and colleagues regarding students performance and behavior
8. Portray a positive attitude towards students, colleagues and parents

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in the field of study
2. Teaching credentials and proven experience
3. Ability to work effectively independently and as a team member
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Strong recommendations and positive references.
